University of Juba (Arabicجامعة جوبا‎) is a Public University located in JubaSouth Sudan, founded in 1975 in response to the need for Higher Education in Southern areas of Sudan. Due to the Second Sudanese Civil War (1983 – 2005), the university relocated to Khartoum, for safety of staff, students and infrastructure.

In 2006, the government at that time agreed to change the name of the University to Juba National University. Graduation

“Graduation day is a day that no one ever forgets, no matter how good or bad the experience. Most of us graduated with people we’ve been friends with since pre-k, others just joined in on the ride going into the Campus. Regardless, we’ve all been there before and we all have a story behind our graduation day. Mine wasn’t very welcoming.” – Student
