The University of Juba (UoJ) is a comprehensive premier South Sudan University, and was established in 1975. The University admitted it’s first students in 1977, and currently boasts about 29,000 students spread across 16 Schools, 2 Colleges, 3 Institutes, and 4 specialized centers of which 4,000 students are studying at postgraduate level. We are based in Juba downtown, the beautiful and cosmopolitan capital of South Sudan.
The University of Juba (UoJ) was founded in 1975 with the goal of training civil servants for autonomous government of South Sudan.

At the Centre of the University is the Library system, comprising the Main Library and its School/branch libraries. The Library’s aim and objectives are to to serve the academic, teaching, study and research needs of the University community.

Opening Hours
The University of Juba Main Library opens on Monday to Friday from 9:00 am – 4:00 pm. On Saturdays from 9:00 am – 2:00 pm. The Libraries remain close on Sundays and public holidays.
