The South Sudan Robotics Club took part in the ITU GSR 2024 Symposium. The ITU is the United Nations specialized agency for information and communication technologies (ICTs). The organization has 193 Member States and more than 1000 companies, universities, and international and regional organizations. ITU is headquartered in Geneva, Switzerland, with regional offices on every continent. It is the oldest agency in the UN family and has been connecting the world since the telegraph was invented in 1865.
The Robotics Club was established at the University of Juba and is funded by the Stem Center under Stem power.org. The Club showcased its creativity in AI and Robotics in Action. Alongside other young inventors in Africa, the club demonstrated groundbreaking robotics and AI applications, and solutions to support the Sustainable Development Goals. The conference also delved into how AI is revolutionizing various industries, providing valuable advice and real-world examples that illustrate the vast potential of AI-powered solutions.
