In recognition of Mr. Ring Kuach for successful STEM Power expansion in Sub-saharan Countries

Today, we honor Eng. Richard Ring Kuach, the man responsible for the successful installation and operation of STEM Power Stations in Sub-Saharan Africa. Eng. Kuach was named Outstanding Staff of the Year in 2020 for his efforts to enhance the mission of Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics (STEM) education in South Sudan, Kenya, and South Africa.

Kuach is the South Sudan cluster’s lead Technical installation specialist, delivering STEMpower projects in South Sudan, Kenya, South Africa, and STEM Centers throughout Sub-Saharan Africa. He is presently a lecturer at the School of Computer Science and Information Technology at the University of Juba. From 2016 to 2021, he served as a Network Engineer consultant for the United Nations Mission in South Sudan (UNMISS). He took part in a UNDP innovation competition to create a mobile application that would deliver conflict Early Warning and Response information.

In 2015, he earned a B.Sc. in Computer Engineering from Cavendish University Uganda. He also holds an MSc. in Engineering from Huazhong University of Science and Technology in Wuhan, China, with a concentration in Electronic Information and Communication Engineering.
