The visit of the Vice Chancellor to India took place between 16th and 26th August 2018. The visit was organised by the Embassy of India in South Sudan and sponsored by Indian Council for Cultural Relations (ICCR) through its Academic Visitor Programme. Places visited included cultural heritage sites, government agencies, quangos, universities, and research institutions, and think-tanks. Means of travel around included road and air. The Vice Chancellor first landed in Mumbai on the morning of 17 August where he made connection for New Delhi in the same morning. Overall, he spent 3 days in New Delhi, a day in Agra, 2 days in Bengaluru, and 2 days in Mumbai.

Qutb Minar (New Delhi), Taj Mahal (Agra) Agra Fort (Agra), Fatephur Sikri (40 Km from Agra), and Gateway of India (Mumbai).
Government Agencies Visited
Ministry of External Affairs (New Delhi), Ministry of Electronics and Information Technology (New Delhi), and ICCR (Bengaluru).
Research Centers and Institutes Visited
Centre for Development of Advanced Computing (CDAC, New Delhi), Indian Institute of Information Technology, Bengaluru (IIIT-B).
Universities Visited
University of Delhi (New Delhi), Jawaharal Nehru University (New Delhi), and University if Bengaluru (Bengaluru).
Think-Tank Visited
Rahbhau Mhalgi Probdhini Training (Indian Institute for Democratic Leadership), Uttan Village, Bhayander (West), Thane. It is an independent academy for training of socio-political activists and centre for public education and enlightenment.
